Meet The Provider
Hello My name is Shakti Prabha and I am the Provider / Licensee at Babes and Tots Home Daycare. I am happily married 20 years now, and we have 3 Kids ages: 18 years, 13 years & 12 years. I have more than 15 years of teaching experience inside and outside the USA, working with infant to school aged kids. I have worked as a Behavior Therapist as well. I am multilingual with English, Hindi & Punjabi languages.
I started my career working with the kids ages elementary to high. I did this for 10 years but then opened my home daycare in 2015.The connections I have with the families and the children are the reason I continue working in this profession. I enjoy watching a child grow from infancy to being ready for Kindergarten. I care for children two years through eleven years old learning from each child as they develop their personality, learning style and temperament.
My Training and Experience : M.A. English , M.A. Education ( Early Childhood Education) , B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) , TESOL (Teaching English to speakers of other Languages, Teaching English as second language, Teaching English as a foreign language), Certified Behavior Therapist , CPR/ First Aid (Adult, Infant & children) , HIV /Aids , Blood borne Pathogens , Food Handlers Permit, 30 hours stars training , Safe Sleep , Annual ongoing Trainings, Multilingual (English, Hindi, Punjabi)
The State of Washington requires that I take annual training on topics related to caring for young children and leadership practices. Feel free to ask me about my training. I will frequently share interesting things I learn with the families in my program.
I am happy to see my home daycare contently growing as we continue to provide exceptional early childhood care. I love taking an active role in our classrooms and listening to all that the children have to teach me. I believe that everything can be accomplished through a positive attitude, and I strive to pass this mentality to my coworkers and the students here at Babes and Tots. Outside of my work with children, I enjoy reading books, Travelling and watching movies. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding my daycare, I am always available.

We believe that self-esteem is the critical component to optimal growth in your children. In order for a child to develop high self-esteem, we focus on developing the socialization and self-help skills needed to succeed in other areas of development.
If the adults who care for them have helped them to feel they are valued and competent, children are likely to be relaxed and friendly with others. Play is the way children learn about their world, themselves, and others, and the way they develop the skills and knowledge they will need to succeed in their lives.
